Obituary of Gloria de Jesus Amaral

Gloria de Jesus Amaral, 91, of Danbury, wife of the late Jose Nascimento Amaral, died peacefully, at her home, on Saturday, October 15, 2022. She was born in Ribamondego, Portugal, on July 7, 1931, daughter of the late Jose and Isabel Amaral.

Gloria’s greatest joy was her family. Nothing held greater importance to her than her loved ones.

She will be sadly missed by her five children Alvaro doNascimento and his wife Delfina, Joao Nascimento and his wife Serena, Teresa Silverio and her husband Antonio, Jack doNascimento and his wife Fernanda, and Tony Nascimento and his wife Gina; as well as 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Danbury on Saturday October 22 at 11:00 AM.

Burial will be in Cemeterio de Ribamondego, Portugal, the town of Gloria’s birth, at a later date.
