Obituary of Diane C. Heineken

Diane C. (Gasiewski) Heineken, 66, of Brookfield, wife of Eric Heineken, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Monday, May 31st.  She was born in Stamford on November 4, 1955, daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Dora) Gasiewski.  She was a longtime parishioner of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church. 

Diane started her career as a Registered Nurse for Stamford Hospital, moving on to work in the Surgical Department of Danbury Hospital.  She also enjoyed caring for the retired nuns at Lourdes Healthcare Center at the Villa Notre Dame in Wilton. 

Diane was proud to have served as a nurse at Ground Zero following the 911 Terrorist Attack. 

A devoted mother, Diane adored her two daughters.  Her happiest times were spent caring for her family and her pet bunnies. 

In addition to her husband of 21 years, Eric, she will be missed by her two daughters, Olivia Mali Heineken and Ava Kaili Heineken; and her sister Sharon Hilson.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Marguerite of Bougeoys in Brookfield on Monday June 6 at 11 AM. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church prior to mass, from 10 to 11 AM.

Burial will follow in Newtown Village Cemetery.
