New Milford – Mr. Albert C. Fairclough, age 94, of New Milford, died Wednesday April 6,2022 at the Candlewood Valley Rehabilitation Center. He was the beloved husband for 69 years of Agnes (Resko) Fairclough. Mr. Fairclough was born November 13,1927 in The Bronx, New York son of the late Richard and Ethel (Staib) Fairclough.

He was retired after working for many years as an Electronic Lab Technician at Sperry Rail Service and was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church in New Milford. He enjoyed playing poker, playing casino, fishing, working outside, gardening, doing handyman work, and traveling extensively with his wife Agnes, loved family gettogethers and was an avid New York Mets fan. Mr. Fairclough proudly served his country as a member of the United States Coast Guard.

In addition to his wife Agnes, Mr. Fairclough is survived by his children: Jeffrey Fairclough of New Milford, Carol Allen and her husband Robert of SC, Stephen Fairclough of CO, David Fairclough and his wife Tawney of New Milford and Susan Shelor of VA; and was adored by his 11 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.

Mr. Fairclough’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday, April 9,2022 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. A Prayer Service and the presentation of military honors will be held at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
