Dagoberto Delgado, 93, of Danbury, beloved husband of Delfina (Ledesma) Delgado, died peacefully at St. John Paul II Center.  He was born in Santa Clara, Cuba on November 3, 1928, son of the late Tranquilino and Clara (Llanes) Delgado.  He made his home in the United States in 1968. 

Dagoberto worked for many years in the laundry department of Greenwich Hospital, and as a custodian for SUNY Purchase until his retirement. 

He loved to be outdoors, gardening, cleaning snow, blowing the leaves, etc. He also loved setting up for family gatherings and specially trimming the Christmas tree.

In addition to his cherished wife, Delfina, he will be missed by his three daughters, Beatriz Sabia and her husband, Patrick, Ada Delgado, and Belinda Bustelo and her husband, Jose; his grandchildren and great grandchildren are: Kelsey and Emily Bustelo. Adrienne and Kirsten Summa. Margaret Sabia. Beatrice and Rob Kalajian and their 4 children, Aiden, Delfina, Greyson and Ari. Patrick and Ashley Sabia and their 2 children Knox and Lucas.

He was predeceased by his former son-in-law, Anthony Summa. 

The family will gather at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday, March 26th at 1pm.  A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm. 

Memorial Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.Stjude.org.
