Obituary of Marie Olivieri O'Toole

Marie Olivieri O’Toole, 78, passed away along side her beloved family on January 23, 2022. Marie was born on July 10, 1943; daughter to the late Alfredo Olivieri and Palma Olivieri. Marie grew up in the Bronx, NY and raised her two daughters in New Fairfield, CT. Growing up, Marie worked in Danbury at Medallic Art Company and Wilton Auto Body Shop. Marie, most widely known as Mima, deeply cherished the time she spent with her family and friends-whom she loved completely and unconditionally. Marie always brought fun and laughter to any conversation with her quick-witt, confidence, and grace. Marie was known for her love of life and activities such as Hot Air Ballooning, listening to music, visiting the beach, admiring the Palm trees, the beauty of Sunflowers, the art of Italian cooking, toasting with Cafe Patron and Baileys, admiring Classic Cars, participating in Motorcycle charity events, and attending Sunday services at Faith Church. Marie was also well known for her fighting spirit and resilience that was guided with such elegance by her true faith in God. She was committed to helping anyone in need by starting and participating in prayer chains and offering well valued advice.

Marie is survived by her two daughters; Francine O’Toole Watson, and Marie Perry; her grandchildren Nicole Marona, Nick Marona, Tara Perry, Veronica Monroig, Brian Watson, Amanda Watson, RJ Perry; as well as her great grandchildren Robert Marona, Reina Marona, Alex Watson, Chloe Watson; her son-in-law Leroy Nichols Jr; her two former son in laws Roger Perry and Ollie Watson; along with her brother Salvatore Olivieri; and her vast extended family and friends. Marie is also preceded by Theresa Glorioso, Frank O’Toole, John Olivieri, Frank Olivieri, Lou Smith, and her cherished Jimmy Harsaghy.

Marie’s life will be celebrated at Cornell Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, January 27th at 4:30pm to 7:30pm.
