Danbury – Mr. Victor Alves, age 88, of Danbury, died Tuesday September 7, 2021 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Olinda (Carvalho) Alves.

 

Mr. Alves was born September 21,1932 in Portugal son of the late Diamantino and Palmira Alves. He was retired after working for many years as a Union laborer and was a communicant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Danbury.

 

In addition to his wife Olinda, Mr. Alves is survived by his sons: Carlos A. Alves of Danbury and Victor M Alves and his wife Cathy of Danbury and his siblings: Manuel, Manuela, Sofia and Jose.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday September 13, 2021 at 10:00a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Danbury. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Danbury.

 

Mr. Alves family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday September 12, 2021 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Cornell Memorial Home 247 White St. Danbury.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
