It’s taken me a while to be able to write this. I always felt like Uncle Pete genuinely loved me and always treated me with respect as a man. I always knew I could talk to him about anything. He was a kind caring respectful man who truly was committed to family and to his faith in God. I never remember him having a harsh or judgemental, or anti-racial word about anyone in any of our conversations. There is so much I came to respect about Uncle Pete I could never fit it all in this small space. He taught us all how to live this life with commitment, loyalty, faith, respect, hard work and never in fear. Thank you for just being who you were, you left a legacy of your attributes and love behind in all of us. Your 3 beautiful daughters and grand daughter live what you taught and now will take beautiful, loving and committed care of their Mom,Grandmother and great grand children. I’m certainly positive you will be very involved in that love and care as well. I love you Uncle Pete, see you some day soon, give my love to our family in Heaven.

We were so saddened to hear about Mr. P and so sorry for your loss. What a wonderful husband, father, papa and all around good man he was.
We always looked forward to his visits to Georgia. From giving welcomed advise concerning our boys to gardening tips, Mr. P always had a way of showing his concern for others.
Mr. P will be greatly missed by all.
All our love,
Scott & Wendy Ditzel

Mr P was a one of a kind. I met the whole family when they moved across the street from my family. We became good friends very quickly. I enjoyed spending many days and evenings over their house. Mr P you were like a 2nd father to all of us neighborhood kids. We all loved you and you will be missed. Seeing you in kohl's was great bc you always gave me extra discounts! Rest in peace to one of the greats! Dawn Rebeiro xxoo

Uncle Pete was the closest thing to a grandfather I ever had, and it shatters my heart to hear of his passing. He was a warm, genuinely kind man, and his patience and hard work are things I'll aspire to for the rest of my life. I love him still, and all of you as well.

Uncle Pete was one of the most joyful and friendly people I’ve met. He loved kids and babies. Whenever my family visited he would greet us with a big hug. One of my earliest memories of him is the day he fed my little brother potato chips. Michael was a really picky eater but he absolutely loves potato chips even to this day because of uncle Pete. No one ever came close to his egg plant Parmesan! I know he is still with us and I’m glad his suffering has come to an end.

I'm so saddened by this news! He was sweetest, kindest man ever! I so remember when his daughter Fil lived in Georgia where I met her. He and Yolanda would come to visit and they always invited me to come and eat. And eat we did! I remember that they cooked everything Italian and lots of it! They were always so sweet to me and I loved them! You will be missed! My heart goes out to the whole family! And Meg I love you too!!

What can you say about a man I have known for more than 50 years. So many memories. He loved his family more than life itself! He loved his country music, watching wrestling, baseball, and so much more. My favorite memory is how much he loved to eat. He is the only person I knew that would dress a salad and made it look so good. I would always ask him to do one for me when I would stay for dinner. (Which was quite often). I could go on & on but…. He will be missed so much. He is now reunited with the family members he hasn’t seen in so long. Please reach out to my dad & brother when you see them. Rest In Peace Papa!! I love you!!
