Martin was a gentleman, woodcarver, and my friend.
The world was better with him in it and I’m sorry he has shuffled off this mortal coil.
My deepest sympathies to you, Carol, and the entire family. Martin always glowed when talking about you with so much love, respect, and pride.
The picture attached was taken not long after my father, Walter, died and Martin included me in a trip to visit the USS Nautilus. I will keep happy memories like this, carving retreats, carving meetings, and learning from Martin about carving and life alive and well and I know the rest of the guys and I will speak of Martin often and with fondness and respect.
