Millie was the matriarch of Hilltop Manor in Danbury. We had the pleasure of living across the street from this amazing woman for over 20 years. We loved hearing all her stories about the neighborhood from its early days. She was truly a special lady with beautiful blue eyes and a heart of gold. She was full of life and we loved spending time with her chatting over a glass of wine or a hot toddy on a winter's day. We especially will miss her smile and amazing laugh that would fill the room. We would like to express our sympathies to her loving family.
Sincerely,
Lori and Dave Burke

Amelia "Millie" was a dear, fun-loving friend who loved her family and others immensely. She had a ready smile for all and loved to laugh. We have wonderful memories of many pleasant visits with her.
Her family took such good care of her that she could remain in her home until she was close to 100.
We were delighted to celebrate her 100th birthday with her and her family/friends at Hancock Hall in 2019. Her son, Fritzie, is a younger version of his father and always let her know when the UCONN women were playing basketball as part of his daily phone call. Sylvia drove her to appointments and did "meals on wheels" for her. Eddie and Janice helped a lot, too, as did her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and neighbors/friends who made life a joy for her.
She will be deeply missed, but she will always be in our hearts. She loved life and was truly special to all!!!
