Obituary of Patricia Elizabeth Leggiadro

Patricia Elizabeth Leggiadro, “Pat” (Barry), age 79, of North Salem, New York, passed away on June 12, 2021 in Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco.  She was the loving wife of Pasqual Leggiadro for 58 years.

Pat was born in on September 16, 1941 in Manhattan, New York to the late Joseph and Mary Barry.  She is survived by her husband, Pasqual, her children: Dawn Mazza, Scott and his wife Jennifer, Wayne and his wife Samantha, and Keith and his wife Elise; her Grandchildren: Hannah, Collin, Lyndsey, Brendan, William, Charlotte, and Adeline.  Pat was predeceased by her brother Dennis Barry. Her family grieves her loss. Family members wish to remember her strong faith, spirit and loving ways.

Pat was an extraordinary and strong woman. She was kind, generous and a “mom” to many.  Pat was a problem-solver and seemed to always get the impossible done. Pat’s main focus though was always her family and close friends.  During the pandemic, Pat became known as the “Mask Lady”, sewing over 1,000 lovingly crafted masks to donate to healthcare workers and children’s hospitals. 

A service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 3:00-6:00pm, at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, Ct. All are asked to please wear a mask inside the Memorial Home. The burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, New York at a future date.

The Leggiadro family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital, at secure.givetoynhh.org in Patricia’s memory.
