Obituary of Sarah Jane Mazzuchelli

Danbury – Mrs. Sarah Jane “Grammy” (Beschle) Mazzuchelli, age 83, of Danbury, passed away peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Thursday February 11, 2021. She was the widow of David H. Mazzuchelli.

Mrs. Mazzuchelli was born March 25, 1937 in Danbury daughter of the late Frank and Lois (Smith) Beschle. She was retired after working for many years as a Xray technician in the Danbury area and was an active communicant of St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury. During her younger years, she served as a Boy Scout Den Mother and Campfire Girls Mother, sewing and baking her famous apple pies and loved animals.

Mrs. Mazzuchelli proudly served her country as a member of the United States Army.

Mrs. Mazzuchelli is survived by her daughter: Elizabeth Hamed and her husband Tom Petrellese of Danbury, her brothers; William Beschle and his wife Sue of Chaparral, New Mexico, Paul Beschle and his wife Andrea of Bandera, TX and Gary Beschle and his wife Linda of Pipe Creek, TX, her six grandchildren: Jessica, Jason, Julia, Jonathan, Dayle and Tim, her six great grandchildren: Logan, Maci, Noah, Kylie, Jamison and Carter and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son: Michael Mazzuchelli, her sister: Nancy Foster and her son in law Dale Hamed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services and burial with full Army honors which will be held at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery 319 Bow Lane Middletown on Friday February 26, 2021 at Noon. A Memorial Mass for both David and Sarah will be held at St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury at a time to be announced. Please check the funeral home website for date and time. There are no calling hours.
