Obituary of Elizabeth Sarsfield

Elizabeth Cole Sarsfield, of Brookfield passed away on December 20, 2020 at the age of 84. Beth was born in Manhattan, NY on December 25, 1935, daughter of the late Charles and Norine Cole (nee Burke). Beth graduated from Eastchester High School in 1953 and later attended Westchester Community College in Westchester, NY where she studied Business.

Beth was a longtime resident of Hartsdale and Scarsdale, NY, and made her home in Brookfield in 2003. 

Beth spent 30 years working at Nestle Company where she was an Executive Secretary, retiring in 2000. Throughout her life Beth had many interests and passions. She loved the beach, boating and loved visiting sites with lighthouses, especially Montauk, NY. Beyond that, her other interests included visiting and participating at the Brookfield Senior Center, working a part time job at the Brookfield Town Hall, and volunteering at the Red Cross. She loved traveling and skiing in her younger days. She adored her grandchildren and was their biggest fans and always attended all of their sporting events. Almost daily, she would pick up her grandchildren after school and drive them around to wherever they wanted to go.
 

Beth was predeceased by her son Stephen Patrick Sarsfied, her sister Justine Casiraghi, her nephew Kevin and partner Vincent Margrino of 16 years.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy Colavito; (Louis Colavito) 2 grandsons; Patrick Colavito of Huntington, NY and Frank Colavito of Boston, MA; and 2 granddaughter’s; Candice Fawley (Justin) and Sarah Bowers (Kaushal) of Haddonfield, NJ; Great Grandson, Colin; Her 2 nephews: Chris Casiraghi of Wilton, CT and Peter Casiraghi of Oakland, CA.; her 7 nieces & nephews, Suzanne, Nina, Tom, Terri, Stephen, Chris & Maryjo of North Carolina and Florida; 3 grandnieces daughters of Wilton, CT: Isabel, Lilly, and Charlotte Casiraghi;

Funeral services will be private and announced at a later date due to the COVID restrictions.
