Obituary of Sr. Maryann Sheehan

Sister Maryann Sheehan, a member of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, died on November 1, 2020, at Villa Notre Dame in Wilton, Connecticut, at age 80. She was born on June 15, 1940, in New York City.

     After pronouncing her vows as a School Sister of Notre Dame in 1960, she taught in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Rochester, New York, and in New Jersey.  As a child care worker and foster care provider, she ministered in Denville, New Jersey and Naples, Florida. In her retirement, Sister resided at Villa Notre Dame in Wilton.

     A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Villa Notre Dame on Thursday, November 5, for the community.  Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel, Connecticut.
