Obituary of Margaret Elsie Mirabito

Margaret “Peg” “Peggy” E. Perry Mirabito died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Monday, November 26, 2018.  She was born on August 20, 1928, the oldest child of Sarah and Wayne Perry of Bridgeport, CT.

Mrs. Mirabito was a long time resident of Danbury, Connecticut.  She worked at Lassley TV in Bethel and was the Parish Secretary at St. James’ Episcopal Church for many years.  After her retirement, she traveled with family and volunteered at St. James’ visiting shut ins.

Family and friends were the heart and soul of her life.  Volunteering and doing whatever she could to help others was an important part of her life.  Along with other parents of  handicapped children, she helped to found  DATAHR (Danbury Assoc. to Advance the Handicapped and Retarded) to provide much needed services for these children.

Margaret was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 44 years, Francis J. “Frank” Mirabito, a son, Joseph Francis Mirabito, a brother, Donald Perry and a sister-in-law, Fredrica Perry.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Perry and Susan Mirabito of Cheshire, her daughter Dianne Mirabito-Hough and son-in-law John Hough of Middletown, her sister-in-law, Elaine Perry of Ballston Lake, NY and several nieces and nephews.
