Obituary of Salvatore LaSita

Danbury – Mr. Salvatore LaSita, age 78, of Danbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 2, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. LaSita was born October 31, 1939 in Termini Imerse, Sicily, son of the late Antonino and Agostina (Arrigo) LaSita. He was retired after establishing, owning and operating South End Laundry and Cleaners for over 30 years and S and E Rentals and also formerly worked at the Benrus Corporation. He was a member and past president of the Amerigo Vespucci Lodge and member of the Sons of Italy and the Catholic War Veterans.  He enjoyed gardening and fishing and renovated several houses in the Danbury area. He loved spending time with his family and will be remembered for his awesome sense of humor by all who knew him.

Mr. LaSita is survived by his children: Agostina LaSita of Bethel, Diane Batista and her husband Luis of Danbury, Marianna LaSita of Danbury and Anthony LaSita and his wife Ellen of Bethel, his sister: Maria Catalano of Sicily, his grandchildren: Shauntae Black and her life partner Chris, Dariana LaSita, Jovanna LaSita, Marcos Rodriguez, Ciana Rodriguez, Ana Batista and Anthony “AJ” LaSita, Jr., his great grandchildren: Jazmyne Elwell, Mariah Elwell and Jordan Elwell and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by the Mother of his beautiful children: Eileen C. Heafey and his sister: Giuseppina Faso.

Mr. LaSita’s famly will receive relatives and friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St. Danbury on Sunday August 5, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
