Obituary of Gerald A. Laughlin
Gerald A. Laughlin, age 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 2, 2018 at Saint John Paul II Center in Danbury. He was born April 23, 1939 in Danbury to the late Edward L. and Marion Fischer Laughlin.
Gerald worked in plumbing, boiler rooms and finally retired from Western Connecticut State University from their Maintenance Department. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, weekly card games with his friends and watching car racing at the Danbury Race Arena.
Gerald will be sadly missed by his children: Gerald E. Laughlin of Sandy Hook and Lori Johnson and her husband, Aaron of Bethel; his Grandchildren: Zachary Johnson and Cody Johnson; Significant Other, Mary Miller of Prospect; and his Nephews: Robert Stevenson, Jeffrey Stevenson, Keith Stevenson and Greg Stevenson. In addition to his parents, Gerald was predeceased by his Brother: Kenneth Laughlin, Sister: Betty Stevenson, Nephew: Ronald Stevenson, and his former Wife and Mother of his children, Arlene Collins.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday August 7, 2018 at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St. Danbury at 11:00.am. Family and friends may visit from 10:00am until time of service. Burial to follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
