Steven was involved in many “causes” that he supported passionately, including protecting the environment and working to foster positive change inside and outside the University of Rhode Island campus through an organization called Thrive URI. He believed in spreading positivity, and touched the lives of everyone he encountered.
In addition to his devoted parents, Steve and Anita, he will be missed by his four siblings, Juliana, Michael, Christopher and Daniel; his paternal grandmother, Annette Leone; his aunts and uncles, Vincent “Jim” Leone (Remy), Cindy Spencer (Matt), and Lori Pinto (Michael); his cousins, Thomas, Shannon, Matthew, Katie, and Nikki (Sam); and his second cousin, Olivia.
