Obituary of Arlene Rose David
Arlene Rose David, age 80, of Danbury passed away on Sunday May 20, 2018 at Hancock Hall in Danbury surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bronx, New York on June 29, 1937 to the late Emil and Elizabeth (Horvath) David.
Arlene received her Associates degree from Post University in Waterbury and worked as a Paralegal. She was an avid reader, enjoyed political discussions and loved animals, especially her dogs. Arlene's door was always open to share a cup of coffee and was known for her great sense of humor.
Arlene will be sadly missed by her children: Christina Pothier (Michael) of North Carolina, Catherine Weiler (Robert) of Maryland, Sandra DePoi of Florida and Arthur DePoi (Cheryl) of Brookfield; her brother Harold David (Susan) of Washington; Grandchildren: Brenda, Robert Jr., Michael Jr., Elise, Rachel, Miranda, Brittany, David and Julia; Great Grandchildren: Elizabeth, Vincent, Layla and Elli and her nephews, Paul and Matthew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday May 26, 2018 at St. Joseph Church, 163 Whisconier Rd., Brookfield at 10:30am. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Bethel. Family and friends are invited to the United Methodist Church in Bethel at 141 Greenfield Ave for a repass.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in honor of Arlene to benefit the Flower Garden at Hancock Hall, 31 Staples St. Danbury, CT 06810, a place where she enjoyed visiting with her family and friends.
