Obituary of Lena Tedesco

Lena (D'Agostino) Tedesco, 88, of Brookfield, wife of the late Robert Tedesco, Sr., died at Laurel Ridge in Ridgefield on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. She was born in Manhattan, NY on August 24, 1929, daughter of the late Joseph and Julia D'Agostino. She worked for many years as a security guard for the New York City Board of Education. 
Lena was a member of the Brookfield Senior Center where she enjoyed taking part in many activities. She especially enjoyed singing with the center's group, "Sharps and Flats." In addition to her singing talent, she was also a great dancer, having danced in her younger years at Roseland in Manhattan. 
Her outgoing, fun loving personality will be remembered by her family and many dear friends. Her happiest moments were spent with her children and grandchildren. 
Lena will be sadly missed by her two sons, Robert Tedesco, Jr. and his wife, Teresa, and James Tedesco; her two grandchildren, Robbie Tedesco and Mary Lee Tedesco; her brother, Emil D'Agostino; and many nieces and nephews. 
She was predeceased by three brothers and one sister. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 12 at 10:00a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial will follow in Calverton National Cemetery. 
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, February 11 between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00p.m.
