Obituary of Jeanne Maureen Wilson

Jeanne Maureen (Senior) Wilson, 82, of Vernon, beloved wife of Charles J. Wilson, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018, at home, with her loving family by her side.  She was born in Bronx, NY on August 8, 1935, daughter of the late Philip and Catherine Senior.  She was a graduate of St. Helena’s High School in the Bronx and attended St. Francis Nursing School in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Jeanne worked as a nurse for Traveler’s Insurance Co., and various doctor’s offices in New York City.  After raising her children, Jeanne, along with her husband, owned and operated their own business that she managed for many years.

Upon retirement she became an active member of the Charter Oak Airstream Club in CT.  She and Charlie enjoyed traveling across the US and Canada with the club.  In 2002 she was honored as the “First Lady” of the club.  She also enjoyed her winters on the East and West coasts of Florida.

In addition to her cherished husband of 59 years, Charlie, she will be sadly missed by her son, Brian Wilson of Vernon; her daughter, Dawn Ryan and her husband, Daniel of New Fairfield; her grandchildren, Lindsay and Connor Ryan; her brother, Kenneth Senior and his wife, Susan of Brookfield; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Labre Indian School of Ashland, MT (www.St.Labre.org), an organization devoted to the education and development of Native American boys and girls.  Jeanne has supported this cause for many years.
