Obituary of Michael Salvatore Testa, Sr.
Michael S. Testa, Sr., 61, of Danbury, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Monday, January 1, 2018, after a brief illness. He was born in Norwalk on May 4, 1956, son of the late Andrew, Sr. and Edith (Tanner) Testa. He was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1974.
Mike worked for many years as a driver for UPS. He was an avid body builder and made many friends at Gold’s Gym and later the New York Sports Club. He also enjoyed playing softball for the Danbury Industrial League.
His happiest moments were spent with his children, especially Sundays golfing with his son, and movie dates with his daughter. He also loved being a poppa to his grand-dog, Harlee.
He will be sadly missed by his son, Michael S. Testa, Jr and his fiancé, Megan Quare; his daughter, Meghan Testa; his former wife, Lorri Lawlor; his brothers, Andrew Testa, Jr (Sheri), and Gary Testa (Alison); his sisters, Lenora Testa and Patricia Trafton (Hal); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday, January 6th at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, New Fairfield.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 5th between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00pm.
