Obituary of Maria Ann Neale
Maria “Marie” (Amato) Neale, of New Milford, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Village Crest. She was born in Mount Vernon, New York on July 21, 1939, daughter of the late Angelo “Charles” and Guistina Amato.
Marie worked as an accounts receivable clerk for Datahr Rehabilitation Institute, now known as Ability Beyond Disability, retiring after more than 20 years.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved caring for her family and being active in their lives. While raising her family, she enjoyed volunteering as a den leader for the Cub Scouts. She also enjoyed ceramics and was an avid NY Yankee Fan. What genuinely gave her the most pleasure was being generous and supportive of her family.
Her family has always regarded her as the glue that has held them together.
She will be sadly missed by her three children, Christopher Neale and his wife, Christine of Monroe, Arthur Neale and his wife, Michele, and Cynthia Bologna and her husband, Randy; and her grandchildren, Alyssa, Joseph, Kevin, Shane, Daniel and Andrew. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph and Angelo Amato.
Funeral services and burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, New York, will be held privately.
