Obituary of Margaret Rita Cascio
Margaret (Schulz) Cascio, of Danbury, wife of the late Vincent Cascio, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Saturday, September 30, 2017. She was born in Irvington, NJ on May 3, 1930, daughter of the late Conrad and Anna (Bien) Schulz. She was a graduate of St. Raphael’s School of Nursing in New Haven.
Mrs. Cascio was a nurse with St. Joseph Heritage House, as well as Danbury Hospital and various area nursing homes.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Gregory Cascio and his wife Debbie; her two daughters, Judy Taylor and her husband, Arthur, and Susan Conway and her partner, Karl Gabelman; her grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew and Gabriele Cascio, Michele Turrentine and her husband, Sam, Heather Keola and her husband James, and Arthur Taylor, John and Thomas Conway; and three great grandchildren, Krista, Shameus and Eli. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her ten brothers and sisters to pass away.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 6th at 11:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday between the hours of 9:30 and 10:30.
