Obituary of Assunta Lubrano
Assunta Lubrano, age 87 of Brick, NJ, formerly of Brooklyn, NY died on Monday August 21st at the Glen Hill Center, Danbury. She was the wife of the late Alberto Lubrano.
Assunta was born January 24, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Phillip and Mary (Liverani) Caramico. Raised and educated in Brooklyn, she was a resident there until moving to Brick, NJ 15 years ago. Assunta was employed as a cafeteria worker for the New York City Schools, retiring after 20 years. She was a parishioner of Saint Dominic Church, Brick, NJ. Most recently, Assunta had been a resident in Danbury, CT, where she would be closer to her family. She enjoyed spending special times with her family, and tending to her home.
Assunta is survived by her two daughters: Linda Krapf and her husband Francis of New Fairfield, and Andrea Mayfield and her husband Raymond of Bismarck, Missouri, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Alberta Lubrano, and her nine brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday August 25th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Route 37, Sherman, CT. Interment in the Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY will be private.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Thursday August 24th from 4pm to 8 pm.
