Obituary of Maureen Ann Wright
Maureen A. Wright, age 70 of Bridgewater, died at her home on Friday July 28th following a long illness. She was the wife of Bernard T. “Bud” Wright Jr.
Maureen was born Sept 24, 1946 in Danbury, the daughter of Agnes (Kirk) Post of Danbury and the late Martin Post. She was a graduate of Danbury High School and for over 30 years was employed as a floral designer for several florists in the greater Danbury area. She most recently worked with her longtime friend Josephine Hansen designing wedding floral arrangements. Maureen was a lover of horses and her cat Cheyenne, and enjoyed her ‘64 Corvette.
In addition to her husband of 47 years and her mother, Maureen is survived by her brother in law Edward Wright of Bridgewater, and sister in law Carol Norman of South Carolina, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday August 1st at the South Cemetery, Christian Street, Bridgewater.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to New Milford Animal Welfare, or to the New Milford Visiting Nurse Association.
