Obituary of Wendy Ann Finkle
Wendy Ann Finkle, age 66, of Danbury, died on Friday morning at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of Christian A. Finkle.
Wendy was born in Danbury April 22, 1951, the daughter of Nancy (Barriere) Currier of Danbury, and the late Wendel Currier. She was a graduate of Danbury High School, and worked for several years at the Danbury News Times, the Danbury Bowl A Rama, and the Danbury Moose Lodge. She was a very active and supportive grandmother in the lives of her seven grandchildren, and loved to take care of her family pets. She enjoyed special times with family on vacations.
In addition to her husband of 45 years and her mother, Wendy is survived by her three daughters: Candace Moniz and her husband John, Jennifer Cefaloni and her husband Sergio, and Melissa Rodriguez and her husband Michael, all of Danbury, one brother: Allen Currier of Bethel, two sisters: Sandra Enright and Lynn Cleary, both of Danbury, seven grandchildren: Devin and Aaron Moniz, Mya, Sonny, and Brock Cefaloni, Mason and Mallory Rodriguez, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday July 25th at 10:30am in Saint Gregory the Great Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Monday July 24th from 5 thru 8pm.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are requested to be made to the American Cancer Society, 38 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06854.
