Margaret (Murcko) Joyce
March 17, 1918 - August 19, 2004
Margaret R. (Murcko) Joyce, age 86, of Brookfield died on August 19, 2004 at the Bethel Health Care Center following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Joyce was the wife of Ralph J. Joyce. Margaret was born in Fairfield on March 17, 1918 the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Plako) Murcko. She attended and graduated from the Rodger Ludlow High School in Fairfield. Margaret married Ralph in 1940 and spent 64 loving years of marriage with him.
For most of her life, Margaret was a homemaker. In her early years Mrs. Joyce worked for Heli-Coil, Eagle Pencil, and Underwood Typewriter. She was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed classical music as well as opera. Mrs. Joyce was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Brookfield and a member of the Brookfield Senior Center. Margaret was known to family and friends as loving Wife, mother and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her husband along with her two sons: Richard and his wife Barbara Joyce of Brookfield, and Ralph M. and his wife Mary of Franklinville, NJ. One sister: Genevieve Scott of Ridgefield; Four grandchildren: Jean and her husband Jim Egan; Brett and his wife Leslie; Brian, and Karen; one great granddaughter: Sydney Maree; and several nieces and nephews Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church in Brookfield with interment following at Central Cemetery in Brookfield.
