Obituary of Scot T. Halas

Scot T. Halas Sr. April 10, 1971 - January 27, 2004 Scot T. Halas, Sr. of Inglenook Road, New Fairfield, devoted husband of Maritza (Suarez) Halas, died unexpectedly at his home, on Tuesday, January 27th. He was born in Danbury on April 10, 1971, son of Dale Halas of Sherman and Martha (Corsello) Halas of New Fairfield. He was a graduate of New Milford High School. Scot was a landscaper, owning and operating Scot's Yard Service for years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and membership in the New Fairfield - Sherman Sportsman's Association. He worshiped at Grace and Vessels Faith Assembly in Danbury. Most importantly, Scot was a dedicated husband and father. Besides his parents he is survived by his cherished wife of five years, Maritza; two sons, Scot, Jr., and Tyler. He is also survived by two brothers, Dale Halas, Jr., of Danbury, and Emil Halas of New Fairfield; grandmother, Mildred Halas of New Fairfield; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Congregational Church of New Fairfield on Monday, February 2nd at 11:00am with Reverend Patricia Nicholas officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, February 1st between the hours of 6 and 8pm. Donations Information In lieu of flowers donations to the Halas children would be greatly appreciated.
