Obituary of Otto P. Hagenah

Otto P. Hagenah July 01, 1915 - January 25, 2005 Otto P. Hagenah, 89, of Fresh Meadows, NY., husband of the late Marjorie (Hyland) Hagenah, died at Danbury Hospital on Tuesday, January 15th. He was born in New York, NY, on July 1, 1915, son of the late Otto and Annabella (Worth) Hagenah. He was a graduate of Erasmus Hall High School, Brooklyn, NY. Mr. Hagenah was a Veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Army. He worked as a salesman for Stroheim & Romann for more than 35 years and later retired from Macy's. He was a member of the Candlewood East Beach Club in Brookfield. Mr. Hagenah was a soft spoken, very kind gentleman who was well loved. He enjoyed working, and being with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his two sons, Philip Hagenah of Silver Spring, MO, and Drew Hagenah and his partner, James Richardson of New York, NY; his sister, Jessica Shore of Long Island, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by three brothers, Edward, William and John Hagenah. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrate on Friday, January 28th at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial will follow in Calverton National Cemetery, Long Island, NY. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday, January 27th between the hours of 6 and 8:00pm.
