Obituary of Angelo Greco

Angelo Greco April 07, 1913 - May 05, 2004 Angelo Greco, 91, of Andover Court, Brookfield, husband of Maria (Gullota Fazio) Greco, died on Wednesday, May 5th at Pope John Paul II Center for Health Care. He was born in Argentina on April 7, 1913, son of the late Ignazio and Anna (Barbagallo) Greco. Mr. Greco was raised in Sicily, Italy until 1949 and moved to the United States in 1957. He was a laborer for Belt Contracting Company in Whitestone, New York, and was proud of having worked on the foundation of the Twin Towers in Manhattan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and working in his vegetable garden. Besides his devoted wife of 65 years, Maria, he is survived by his sons, Carlo Greco and his wife, Debbie of Danbury, and Ignazio Greco and his wife, Franca of Elizaville, NY; and his daughter, Anna Greco of Brookfield. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by four siblings and a granddaughter. Funeral Information The funeral will be conducted on Saturday, May 8th at 9:15am from the Brookfield Funeral Home to St. Gregory the Great Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Friday, May 7th between the hours of 6 and 9pm.
