Loranda Ernano
Loranda "Peggy" Ernano, 89, of Brookfield, wife of the late Vincent Ernano, Sr.,
died peacefully at Candlewood Valley Nursing Home on May 6, 2014 four years to
the day after her husband died, surrounded by the Angels who had lovingly taken
care of her for the last five years. She was born on September 5,1924 in New
York City, daughter of the late Ramon and Adeline Cerda. For 20 years until her
retirement Peggy was a secretary at Fordham University.
Peggy was a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Brookfield, where she
was an active volunteer. Her greatest joy came from helping others whether it
be embroidering Christening bibs or crocheting prayer shawls for the sick. She
was always admired for her strength and grace.
She will be greatly missed by her four children, Joseph Ernano and his wife
Sandra of NY; Vincent Ernano, Jr. of CA; Virginia Ernano of VA; Diane Lalli and
her husband Peter of New Milford; three sisters; Ramona Craccolici, Gloria
Massimo, Lillian Garafalo; seven cherished grandchildren Michael, Gregory,
Bianca, Samantha and Ruby Ernano, Andrew and Matthew Lalli; five treasured great
grandchildren Amanda, Colin, Kayla, Frank, and Charles. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Whisconier
Rd, Brookfield, on Saturday, May 10th at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Gate
of Heaven, Valhalla, NY. Calling hours will be on Saturday, May 10th, at Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Rd, Brookfield from 8:30 - 9:30 am. Donations Information
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to The Alzheimer's
