James Emery Duren Jr.

James E. Duren, Jr., 49, of Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on Monday, June 7th, after a long term illness with kidney dysfunction. He was born in New York, NY., on August 29, 1954, son of Jean Marie (Green) Duren of Danbury and the late James E. Duren, Sr.. He attended Danbury High School.
James was a life long resident of Danbury and was affiliated with several churches in the community.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Justin, of Naples, Fl.; two sisters, Kim and her husband, Doug Brown of Danbury, Vivian "Sweetie" and her husband, Ricky Brandon of Ca; seven brothers and their wives, Brian Duren, Billy & Shari Smith, Bobby and Jonnie Mae Smith, Marty Curry, Marlon and Yvonne Duren, Lark and Meek Duren, Curtis and Cynthia Jones. He is also survived by his aunt, Gail Snow Bond; several nieces and nephews, Tamika Green, Michael Ross, David Melendez; and a host of aunts, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Blanche Bond, a sister, Cindy Melendez, a brother, George Daniel Hill, and a great niece, Jazmin Esperanza. Funeral Information
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday, June 10th from 2:00 to 3:00pm. Cremation and interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
