Obituary of Joseph Davio

Joseph Davio November 03, 1917 - May 11, 2004 Joseph Davio, age 86, of Grove St., Danbury died on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at Danbury Hospital. He worked for the family business, Eugene Davio & Son, a contracting company. Mr. Davio was born in Danbury on November 3, 1917 a son of the late Eugenio and Carmella (Villard) Davio. He served in the Army during WWII returning to Danbury where he continued in the family contracting business. Mr. Davio was also a longtime resident of the Germantown Community. He is survived by a brother, Satem Davio of Texas; a sister: Madeline Johnson of Southbury, CT and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information The funeral service will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, May 14, 2004 at 11:00 in the morning. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Danbury. The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00.
