Obituary of Thomas Robert Dardis

Thomas Robert Dardis November 22, 1940 - May 03, 2004 Thomas R. Dardis, 63, of Whisconier Village, Brookfield, devoted husband of Kathleen (Schmaling) Dardis, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 3rd. He was born in Bridgeport, on November 22, 1940, son of the late Thomas and Mary (Brown) Dardis. He was a graduate of Henry Abbott Technical School, class of 1958. Tom was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Mediterranean on the USS Newport News out of Virginia. He was a Master Carpenter for Merritt Contractors in Bridgeport and was a member of the Local #210 Carpentry Union in Norwalk. Tom loved boating, was a member and served on the Board of Governors for the Fayerweather Yacht Club in Bridgeport; he was also a member of the Mad Hatters Barbershop Quartette, S.P.B.S.Q.S.N. He was a private pilot, enjoyed motorcycling and vacationing at his home on Petit Manan Point, Steuben, ME. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Kathleen; his son, Thomas S. Dardis and his wife, Stacie of Deerfield Beach, Fla; his four daughters, Regina Marie Dardis and Sheila Anne Dardis, both of Waterbury, Renee Lasky and her husband, Brian of New Milford, Mary Agnes Cook and her husband, Craig of North Kingstown, RI.; his three cherished grandchildren, Kayla Lasky, Hannah and Zachary Cook. He is also survived by his brother, Peter F. Dardis and his wife, Roseanne of Bethel; two sisters, Margaret Kovacs and her husband, James of Kent, and Kathleen Noe and her husband, Robert of Kennebunkport, ME.; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 8th, 10:00am, at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Interment of cremains will take place at the convenience of the family, in the family plot at All Souls by the Sea on Petit Manan, ME. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 7th at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, between the hours of 4 and 8pm.
