Obituary of Regina M. Bruno

Regina M. Bruno December 30, 1942 - April 10, 2005 Regina M. (Doti) Bruno of Varian Drive, Danbury, devoted wife of Anthony Paul Bruno, died at Danbury Hospital on Sunday, April 10th. She was born on December 30, 1942, daughter of Rocco and Anna (Romagnoli) Doti. She was a graduate of Hunter College with a B.S. in Psychology. Mrs. Bruno was a teacher with the Danbury School System, most recently at Mill Ridge School. She previously taught at Rogers Park, Broadview, and King Street Schools. As stated by her husband "I love to see the way Regina talks to children. She has a natural way of making them feel good and confident to talk to her. She has a charm about her and they confide in her easily. This is a gift and she is a teacher. I once watched her at Yale Hospital talk to a child while we waited for her appointment and this child just lit up when he was talking to her. She just makes you want to talk to you, if you are a child. What an amazing gift." She loved cooking and gardening. She was an amature oil, charcoal and watercolor artist. She devoted her life to her home, family and her career. She will be sadly missed. In addition to her husband of 40 years, Anthony, she is survived by her two sons, Anthony D. Bruno and Leigh M. Bruno, both of Danbury; her brother, Philip Doti of Long Island, NY., as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A gathering of friends to celebrate the life of Regina M. Bruno will take place at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday April 15th at 10:00am.
