Obituary of Frieda C. Wohlken

Frieda C. (Stieber) Wohlken September 15, 1909 - July 19, 2004 Frieda C. (Stieber) Wohlken, 94, formerly of Morgan Avenue, Danbury, wife of the late Luhr H. Wohlken, died at the Lutheran Home of Southbury, on Monday, July 19, 2004. She was born in Danbury on September 15, 1909, daughter of the late Paul and Camilla (Kraiger) Stieber. She was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1927. Mrs. Wohlken was a secretary for United Reproductions for fifteen years. Prior to that she worked for Danbury Ball Roller Bearing Company. Most importantly she was devoted to her family and her church, Immanuel Lutheran. She will be sadly missed by her three sons, Robert A. Wohlken and his wife, Susan of Danbury, Luhr Wohlken and his wife, Roselyn of Media, PA., and James Wohlken and his wife Gayle of Burton, Ohio; her five grandsons, Timothy, Shane, Luhr, Jeremy and Jay Wohlken; her granddaughter, Robyn Lopes; and two great grandchildren, Chad Lopes and Coleman Wohlken. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 26 West Street, Danbury, on Friday, July 23rd at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services. The Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
