Obituary of Rosemarie T. Waterbury

Rosemarie T. Waterbury October 30, 1934 - January 14, 2005 Rosemarie T. Waterbury Rosemarie Theresa (Swetts) Waterbury, age 70, of Newtown, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2005 at Bethel Health Care. She was the wife of John A. Waterbury. On January 8, 2005, they celebrated their thirty-fourth wedding anniversary. Mrs. Waterbury was born in Swoyersville, PA on October 30, 1934, a daughter of the late George J. And Rose (Rohai) Swetts. She received a B.S. in Analytical Chemistry from the College of Miseracordia in Dallas, PA. She was employed as an analytical chemist for DuPont and for American Cyanamid. Mrs. Waterbury also worked with her husband in their bicycle shop and proved to be a gifted mechanic. She began her second career about 20 years ago when she became a nurses' aide. Mrs. Waterbury retired from Heritage Heights Care Center in August, 2004. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by 2 brothers: John Swetts and his wife Eleanor of PA, Bernard Swetts and his wife Joan of Niagara Falls, NY;her sister-in-law and dear friend, Shirley Waterbury of Martinez, GA.;her nieces and nephews: Ann Bauer, Carol Swetts, Jennifer Swetts, Charlotte Swetts Mattey and her husband, John, Annmarie Swetts, Douglas Waterbury, Dale Waterbury, Darryl Waterbury, David Waterbury and Susan Champ; and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother George Swetts. Funeral Information The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at 11:00 am at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Rd., Brookfield. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Darien. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 in the morning until the time of the funeral.
