Obituary of Christopher M. Walker

Christopher Walker August 04, 2010 Christopher Michael Walker, 26 years old, passed on Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Survived by his father and mother, Dan and Ann Walker, his sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Joe Moore, sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Rich Simpson, and brother Hunter Ray. Known as "Gunkle Chris", he loved spending time with his two young nieces Taylor and Kiera. A role model and considered the bestest babysitter in the world, Chris taught nephew Jaiden how to master video games and play catch. Most of all, he showed .Jaiden the benefits of a winning smile and a charming personality. Chris was loved and known to many as "Little Walker". He was there for anyone in need, whether family, friends or strangers. A thoughtful, kind and gentle soul, always a gentleman with incredible wit. Chris was a writer and an artist with an eye for beauty. He was intelligent, with a flair for debate and was a wicked awesome Scrabble player. Sharing an unbreakable bond with his mother, they spent many hours in philosophical conversation. He loved the Raiders (talk about loyalty) and Yankees, was a great soccer player and always enjoyed golf outings with his Dad. Growing up on Cape Cod with his sisters, they spent many days hanging out on the green in Wellfleet. He was an avid skateboarder and proud "Fleetian". He loved the Cape and visited whenever possible to see his friends and roam the Sand Dunes. As a child, Chris earned the nickname "Digger" from digging in the dirt for hours during his father's softball games leading to his love of working and being creative with his hands. Chris left us way too soon. He will always be remembered as a kind and gentle person with a warm, beautiful smile and so much love to give. Chris we love you and will miss you always. Funeral Information The wake will be Tuesday August 10th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m with a service immediately following at Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, followed by a reception at the Walker home.
