James J. Walker, 92, of Brookfield died Wednesday, January 4th at the Village at Brookfield Commons. He was born January 19, 1919 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late George J. and Viola (Okolowski) Walker.
James was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army in the European Theater. He received the American Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. The campaigns he was engaged in were Ardennes, Central Europe, Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland.
James worked as a clerk for the Veteran's Administration.
James is survived by his sister, Adele Brudinicki of Brookfield; his nieces, Sue Ann and her husband Vincent, Adele and her husband, Rick; his brother, John Walker and his wife, Helen of Kingston, NY; his nieces, Kelly and Cynthia; and his nephew, Ian. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 9th at Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Rd., Brookfield. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens, NY. There will be no calling hours.
