Obituary of Cecelia Tramontano

Cecelia Tramontano July 19, 1913 - July 21, 2004 Cecelia Tramontano, of Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday just a few days after her 91st birthday. She was the wife of the late Peter Tramontano. She was born in New York City on July 19, 1913 a daughter of the late Pasquale and Theresa Lettiero. Mrs. Tramontano was raised and lived most of her life both in Queens, NY and Portland, Maine. She moved to the Danbury-New Milford area 21 years ago. Mrs. Tramontano was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Danbury. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed making a home for her family. Her children say that she was what a Mom was supposed to be. She is survived by her children: Nicholas Tramontano and his companion Sandra Adams of Brookfield; Pat Tramontano and his wife Arlene of Tucson, AZ; and Maryann Jeffries and her husband Steve of Phoenix, AZ; 7 grandchildren: Nick Jr., Theresa, Diana, Anthony, PJ, Laura, and Larry; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including Patricjohn, son of her late brother, Nicholas Lettiero. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 24, 2004 at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Interment will follow at Mount St. Mary's Cemetery, Flushing, NY. Donations Information To honor Mrs. Tramontano's love of children, the family requests that donations in her memory may be made to the foster care agency: Catholic Guardian Society, 1011 First Ave., New York, NY 10022.
