Mary A. Sonberg

Mary A. (Ingram) Sonberg, 72, of Crestview Drive, Brookfield, devoted wife of John R. Sonberg, died on October 12th at her home. She was born in Bronx, NY on November 21, 1931, daughter of the late Lewis and Margaret (Larkin) Ingram.
Mrs. Sonberg worked as a medical receptionist at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle, NY., retiring in 1989. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. She enjoyed sewing handmade quilts with the Sew Buddies Group in Bethel.
Besides her loving husband of 23 years, she will be sadly missed by her daughters, Debbie Williams of Brookfield, Joanne Lampe and her husband Donald, also of Brookfield; and five grandchildren, Kyle, Jeffrey, and Amy Lampe, Randy and Max Williams. She is also survived by brothers, William Ingram and his wife, Marion, Lewis Ingram and his wife, Florence, all of New Rochelle, NY., Edward Ingram and his wife, Sandra of Orange Park, Fla.; three stepsons, James Sonberg and his wife, Sandy of Brewster, NY., John Sonberg of Byram, and Robert Sonberg and his wife, Rita of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 16th, 10:00am, at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury. Friends may call at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, on Wednesday, October 15th between the hours of 5 and 9pm
