Obituary of Joseph C. Alves

Joseph C. Alves May 01, 1953 - November 09, 2003 Joseph C. Alves, formerly of Danbury, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 9th at Yale New Haven Hospital, at the age of 50. He was born in Danbury on May 1, 1953, son of the late Louis and Florence (Beck) Alves, Joseph was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1972. He worked as a sales representative for Home Depot in Danbury. He attended the Danbury Baptist Church. Joseph's strong belief in his Savior gave him strength throughout his life. He was very grateful for all the Lord's blessings - - especially for the gift of a new kidney in the 1980's. His favorite time spent with the Lord was during his Bible study and Fellowship with other Christians. Joseph enjoyed time spent with his family and will be sadly missed by his brothers, Ronald Alves of Danbury, and Thomas Alves-Caprio and his wife, Marie, of Bethel; his sisters, Janice Correa and her husband Alex of New Milford, and Donnet Peterson and her husband, Walter, of Danbury. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday, November 13th, 12:00pm, with Reverend David Reinhardt of the Danbury Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. Friends may call at the Cornell Memorial Home on Wednesday, November 12th between the hours of 5 and 7pm.
