Michael Timothy Rafferty September 19, 1961 - December 29, 2011 Michael T. Rafferty Michael T. Rafferty, 50, of Brookfield, died Thursday, December 29th. He was born September 19, 1961 in Danbury. Michael was the son to the late John C. Rafferty and Eleanor (Young) Rafferty. Michael worked as a paramedic for Danbury Hospital and was a past Assistant Chief of Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department, Candlewood Company. He was awarded Paramedic of the Year. Along with his mother, Eleanor, Michael is survived by his brother, Jack Rafferty and his wife Yvonne of New Port Richey, FL; his sister, Nancy Ludington and her husband Charles of Hudson, FL; two nephews, Eric and Thomas Ludington; his niece, Allison Rafferty and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. Funeral Information A memorial service will be held at 4:30 PM on Monday, January 2nd at Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Rd., Brookfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends from 3 to the time of the service at the funeral home. Donations Information Memorial donations may be made in Michael's name to the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Dept.
