Obituary of Carol Pace

Carol (Bang) Pace July 01, 1946 - January 21, 2004 Carol (Bang) Pace, 57, formerly of Danbury, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 21st, at Backus Hospital in Norwich. She was born in Portchester, NY, on July 1, 1946, daughter of the late Daniel and Carolyn (Miller) Bang. Carol enjoyed gardening, crocheting and her dog, "Baby." She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Colleen McManus and her husband, James, of Bethel, Carol Pace of Brookfield; a son, Michael Sweeney of Virginia; her cherished grandchildren, Patrick Ness, Maddison McManus, Joshua, Justin, Tyler and Tanner Sweeney; a brother, Carmen Mazza, Jr. of Bethel; two sisters, Barbara Romero of California, and Susan Mazza of Tennessee; stepfather, Carmen Mazza, Sr.; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loving companion, Ralph Haight, Sr., with whom she made her home. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, January 23rd at 7:30pm with Msgr. Edward Karl of St. Mary Church, Bethel, officiating. Cremation and interment will take place at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday between the hours of 6 and 8pm.
