Amy D. Best, age 86, of Florida, formerly of Fanton Road, Danbury, died in Florida on December 7, 2004. She was the wife of the late George Best.
Mrs. Best was born in Washington, Maine on May 6, 1918, a daughter of the late Irvin and May (Pinkham) Powell. A longtime area resident, Mrs. Best worked for 27 years as a ward supervisor at Fairfield Hills Hospital. She was a wonderful homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by four sons: Ronald Best and his wife Martha of Florida, Lloyd Best and his wife Pat of Danbury, Dennis Best and his wife Judy of Florida, and Richard Best of Florida, a daughter: Sharon Pannozza and her husband Paul of New Milford; a sister: Dycal Croteau of Massachusetts; 12 grandchildren: Karen, Gary, Jeff, Greg, Dennis, Jimmy, George, Colleen, Kim, Bob, Brian, and Jason; and 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers and sisters. Funeral Information
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2004 at 12:00 noon at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury. Interment will follow at Wooster Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 in the morning until the time of service at 12:00. Donations Information
