Obituary of Irma E. Novicky

Irma E. (Underhill) Novicky September 23, 1910 - July 24, 2004 Irma E. (Underhill) Novicky, formerly of Reynolds Ridge, Bethel, wife of the late Joseph Novicky, died at Danbury Hospital on Saturday, July 24th at the age of 93. She was born in Bethel on September 23, 1910, daughter of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Brown) Underhill. Mrs. Novicky worked as a hatter for Newman-Endler Hatting Company in Danbury for 35 years. She enjoyed membership in the Polish American Club in Danbury, playing cards, bingo, and reading. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and their get-togethers. She will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Helen Price of Alabama, Barbara Waldo and her husband, Hugh, and Judith Longo, all of Danbury; her two sons, Donald and his wife, Janet of New Fairfield, with whom she made her home, and John "Jack" and his wife, Shirley of Colorado. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren;her sister, Ethel Triplett of Florida; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Novicky was predeceased by her son Joseph E. Novicky, her infant grandson, Keith Thomas Novicky, and her sister, Esther Samaha. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Congregational Church of New Fairfield on Wednesday, July 28th at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, July 27th between the hours of 4 and 7 pm.
