Obituary of Max Marschner

Max Marschner March 11, 1904 - April 29, 2004 Max Marschner, formerly of Brookfield, husband of the late Lottie (Petzold) Marschner, died on Thursday in the presence of his family, at Filosa Convalescent Home. He was born in Saxony, Germany on March 11, 1904, son of the late Max and Elizabeth (Eidner) Marschner. He received his education in Germany Max made his home in Brookfield in 1989, and lived in Bronx, New York prior to that. He owned and operated All Trades Employment Agency in Manhattan for more than sixty years. He was the oldest member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brookfield. Recently, Max celebrated his 100th birthday with his family and many friends. He was known for his cheerful smile and loving nature. He will be sadly missed. He is survived by his daughter, Dorothy Fitzsimmons and her husband Bob, of Brookfield; his son, Charles Marschner and his wife, Ruth-Ann of Brookfield; five grandchildren and their spouses, Laura and Ron Schulz, Lisa and Herb Webb, Linda and Kevin Coyle, Kim and Bill Weis, Maxine and Roger Knepp. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren, Megan and Charles Webb, Michael Coyle, Emma and Alexandra Weis, Stephanie Bustle, Danielle Schulz, Emily Marschner and Christopher Knepp. He was predeceased by two grandchildren, Stephen and Jeffrey Marschner. Funeral Information A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be on Saturday, May 15th, 11:00am at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brookfield. Burial will be private in Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, New York. There are no calling hours.
