Ester Casali LaCava February 22, 1921 - November 03, 2003 Ester (Manone, Casali) LaCava of Margerie Street, Danbury, CT, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2003, at the age of 82. She was the wife of the late Louis LaCava. She was born February 22, 1921, in Vallone, Senigallia, Ancona , Italy, the daughter of the late Augusto and Clotilde (Barchiesi) Manone. She immigrated to Danbury in 1956 with her first husband Domenico and children Nando and Nadia. She was a top surgical blade inspector at Bard Parker for seventeen years. She was a superb cook who would always bring homemade care packages to loved ones. She was a talented seamstress who also loved making various crafts that she would give away. She was an avid gardener who took joy in nurturing a seed to a beautiful blossom or bountiful fruit. She has forever passed on her passion to her family. Ester was a woman who will be forever remembered, loved and dearly missed. Ester was a beloved mother of her daughter Nadia Wibling and husband Seth. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Rosa Casali; grandchildren, Ann Marie Matthews and husband Don, Michael Coelho, Kimberlina Casali, James Casali and wife Meghan; great grandchildren, Adam Matthews, Jimmy, Joshua and Jack Casali. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Aurora Benincasa; brother, Edgar Manone; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Domenico Casali; her son, Nando Casali, and a brother, Jerry Manone. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Peter Church in Danbury on Saturday, November 8, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery in Danbury, CT. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 7, 2003 at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, CT between the hours of 5 to 8 p.m. Donations Information Memorial contributions in Esters name can be made to the Praxair Cancer Center, 24 Hospital Avenue, or the American Cancer Society.
