Obituary of Warden J. Kearns

Warden J. Kearns December 12, 1937 - August 19, 2004 Warden John Kearns, age 66, of Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on August 19, 2004. He was the only child of the late Harriet Kearns and the late Louis Francis Palinkas. Mr. Kearns was born in Norwalk, Ct on December 12, 1937. He was raised in Norwalk and graduated from Norwalk H.S. He served his country for five years as a member of the Army National Guard. Mr. Kearns worked as a purchaser for Nash Engineering for over 31 years and after his retirement he continued in purchasing for 11 more years for the Norwalk Company. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Danbury. A devoted family man, he loved being with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling and especially going to Disney World. Mr. Kearns is survived by his children: Donna Kearns and her fiancé Phil Pirotte of Brookfield; Suzanne Kearns, Lisa B. Kearns-Adams and her husband Lloyd B. Adams, Jr.; Kenneth Kearns and his wife Diana; Michael Kearns; and Jennifer (Kearns) Nichols and her companion, Paul Lostocco all of Danbury; 9 grandchildren: Matthew, Daniel, Jeffrey, Stefanie, Christopher, Meghan, Katrena, Zachary, and Nicholas. He was predeceased by two daughters: Terry Kearns Falls and Robin Kearns. Funeral Information A Funeral Service will be held at the Cornell Memorial Funeral Home, 247 White St., Danbury, at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 26, 2004 with the Rev. Iris Peterson officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 until the time of the service at 7:00.
