Obituary of Francis "Frank" Vincent Torre
Danbury - Mr. Francis V. "Frank" Torre, age 98, of Danbury, formally of New Haven, died Thursday February 8, 2018 at the Filosa Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Danbury. He was the husband of the late Mary C. (Bengivengo) Torre.
Mr. Torre was born July 25, 1919 in New Haven son of the late Charles and Rachela (Ipuzza) Torre. He was retired after working for many years as a letter carrier in New Haven, enjoyed bowling and was a New York Yankees fan.
Mr. Torre proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army in the Pacific during World War II.
Mr. Torre is survived by his son; Joseph Torre and his wife Mary Lou of Danbury and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four siblings.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday February 12, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 8 Robinson Avenue, Danbury. Burial with full military honors will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park in New Haven. There are no calling hours.
